Employees of the Michelin Plant in Waterville are again this year teaming up with the children’s Wish Foundation to help children with life-threatening illnesses make their dreams come true.

On two consecutive weekends, June 6-8 and June 13-15, the Michelin Sport and Social Club will host the annual charity softball game in aid of Children‘s Wish.

Throughout both weekends, community volunteers will be having barbecues and offering refreshments during the games. There will also be lots of entertainment, raffle draws and even a Home Run Derby.

Last year saw more than $13,500 raised for Children’s Wish. The MSSC is looking to make this year’s event just as successful if not more so, and is looking for the assistance of the public to make that happen.

Individuals or groups can help by donating to the Children’s Wish Foundation, offering door prizes or placing a team in the tournament.

Anyone interested in making a donation can contact Christine Anderson at 670-9474 or Kent Mullin at 375-2412.

To place a team, contact Dennis Humphreys at 300-2910. For entertainment, call Jim McFawn at 300-1387. To help with field preparation, contact Colin Best at 538-8565. Organizers can also be reached via email at charitywishball@gmail.com.
