The Annapolis Valley Shooting Sports Club hosted a “Ladies' Night” event April 12, a chance for women and girls to visit the club’s Canaan shooting ranges and try their hand at various firearms, including rifles, hand guns, shot guns and more.

Club president John Robinson said participants got a brief range safety seminar and were also given safety instruction on the particular firearms they were using.

Approximately three-dozen women and girls took part. No licences were required and shooting club members provided the firearms, ammunition, safety instruction and hearing protection.

Organizations: Sports Club

Geographic location: Canaan, Annapolis Valley

IF you know ladies who hunt or sport shoot vote this UP. I see a few voted it 1 / 5 stars....clearly they think women with guns are dangers , perhaps women are too stupid or weak? I really dont know their reason, but women with guns in my book = awesome. They can sport shoot and hunt too, and lord knows someday our government may even let them defend themselves from larger more dangerous violent offenders, often male (rapists, etc). Lets not be sexist or bigots here, women are just as good as we are at many things, including hunting and sport shooting. vote up! :)
