Axewomen down Capers in university volleyball action

The Acadia Axewomen handed the Cape Breton University Capers a 3-0 loss in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball action Jan. 12 in Sydney. 

Acadia won in straight sets with scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-23 and is now 3-8 on the season. 

For Acadia, Sarah Ross paced the offence with 11 kills. Meg Rector posted 14 digs.

Chantelle Zawila led the Capers in the loss with 12 kills. On defence, she contributed 14 digs.

The Axewomen play next Jan. 24 at Dalhousie. 

CBU hosts the Dalhousie Tigers on Friday at Sullivan Field House. Game time is 7 p.m.
