A former Yarmouth Mariner is the winner of season 2 of Big Brother Canada.
Jon Pardy, of Clarenville, Newfoundland, played with the Yarmouth Mariners in the last half of the 2010-2011 hockey season after being traded by the Amherst Ramblers.
He won $100,000 for being the last house guest standing in the Big Brother Canada house.
In the show contestants must live in the Big Brother house, where they face a series of challenges against one another. Each week the houseguests vote to eliminate a player from the house. At the finale the evicted house guests choose a winner. Pardy won over Sabrina Abbate in the final.
