Ice Dogs wrap up regular season on weekend

The Barrington Sea Star Ice Dogs went 2-1 in Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League action on the Jan 17 weekend.

On Friday night in Clare, the Ice Dogs defeated the Lions 8-6. Jared Murphy posted two goals and two assists for Barrington, with a goal and two assists from Jevon Link and a pair of markers from Brent Symonds.  Nathan Townsend, Shane Ross and Morgan d’Entremont notched singles.

The Sea Star squad made it 2-0 with a 3-2 win over the Avon River Rats at home on Saturday night.  Jevon Link, Noah Atwood and Morgan d’Entremont were the marksmen. Shane Ross had two assists.

On Sunday the Ice Dogs suffered a 10-5 loss to the Fundy Rhinos. For Barrington, Brent Symonds had a goal and three assists, Morgan d’Entremont, one goal and two assists, Nathan Townsend, a goal and an assist, Aaron Atwood, two assists, with single markers from Michael Link and Keigan Atwood.

The Ice Dogs will wrap up the regular season this weekend with three games on tap.  Barrington will be on the road Friday (Jan. 24) and Saturday (Jan. 25) to meet the Fundy Rhinos and the league leading Spryfield Silver and Black Attack. Both game starts are 8 p.m. On Sunday Barrington will host the Amherst Colts. Game start is 2:30 p.m.
