Team Canada going for gold at Universiade

Team Canada will play for gold at the Winter Universiade in Trentino, Italy following a 2-1 win over Russia in semifinal action Friday.  

Tyler Carroll of UNB and Moncton's Eric Faille scored the goals and Anthony Peters of Saint Mary's stopped all but one shot sent his way as Team Canada, made up of AUHC players, improved to 3-1 for the tournament.  

Canada advances to the gold medal game Saturday against the winner of the second semi-final between Kazakhstan and the United States.  

Three Acadia players - Mike Cazzola, Liam Heelis and Chris Owens - are playing for Team Canada.
