Acadia will advance to the next round after the hockey Axemen defeated Moncton 4-3 in double overtime.

The winning goal was scored by Mike Cazzola, with assists going to Liam Heelis and Brett Thompson, on an innocent-looking play just a minute and a half into the second overtime.

Acadia had 68 shots on goal compared to Moncton`s 38 during play Sunday evening at the Acadia Arena.

The other three Axemen goals were scored by Chris Owens, Michael Ward and Heelis.

Acadia will now move on to play Saint Mary's.
