March was exciting at Grand View Manor.

We had the World Day of Prayer service March 7. The Cambridge Baptist Church provided the program. “Doctor” Murray Brydon was busy with all his chicks. We had 11 babies, just in time for Easter. They brought a great deal of happiness to the residents.

We had a spring dance with music by the Bauchmans.

We had a trivia contest with Evergreen Home for Special Care. The score was GVM – 33 and Evergreen – 17. Everyone had a great time and the singsong at the end with Paul and Cindy from Evergreen was wonderful.

Thank you to Bernice Balsor for the lap robes donated.

Gerry Little has completed many murals around the building. They really add lots of color and conversation and brighten our home up for the residents.

If anyone has small- to medium-sized, clean stuffed animals and would like to donate them, please leave them at the manor. The residents enjoy getting them for prizes and gifts.

We have been planning our annual ticket auction. It will be May 10, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Draw at 1:15 p.m. Tickets are 25 for $1. The money raised goes for resident activities.

The annual golf tournament is planned again for June. Anyone interested in playing or helping out, contact the manor.

We are always looking for volunteers and, hopefully with nice weather on its way, volunteers can help take residents outside for walks. If interested, call Lynn Hardy at the manor.
