Kentville rink loses twice Friday to fall to 2-4

Jocelyn Nix and her teammates from the Glooscap Curling Club dropped from contention at the Scotties provincial women's curling championship in Sydney with a pair of losses Friday.
Team Nix, including third Andrea Saulnier, second Jill Alcoe-Holland and lead Julie Morley, lost 6-2 to Heather Smith in the afternoon draw, then dropped a 6-5 decision in 11 ends to Mary-Anne Arsenault in the evening draw to drop to 2-4.
At the close of play on Friday, Smith led the standings with a perfect 6-0 record. Arsenault and Kelly MacIntosh were both at 5-1. Nix, Sarah Rhyno and Tanya Hilliard were all at 2-4, and Anne Dillon and Mary-Sue Radford were at 1-5.
