Wildcats now 1-11 after loss to Dartmouth

The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry hung on to first place in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League after beating the Kentville Wildcats on their home turf on July 2.

With the host team hanging onto a narrow lead going into the seventh inning of play at Memorial Park, the Dry added three runs in the seventh and two in the eight to clinch the 6-4 win over the Wildcats.

A sixth inning home run by Kentville’s Mike Lockhart gave the Wildcats the lead heading into the seventh inning.

The Wildcats' 1-11 records ranks them in fifth position in the five-team NSSBL.

The team will host a three game series against the fourth-ranked Sydney Sooners (4-6) this weekend, beginning July 4 at Memorial Park in Kentville. Game time is 8 p.m.
