Senior Wildcats drop to 1-8 for season after loss to Halifax

The senior Wildcats were downed 7-4 by Halifax June 21.

Mark Haverstock was the winning pitcher, while Codey Shrider took the loss.

Halifax scored twice in the fourth, once in the fifth, twice in the sixth and twice in the seventh to lead 7-0. The Wildcats scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the ninth. Halifax finished with seven runs on nine hits, while Kentville had four runs on just three hits.

Adam Lucas and Jake Pelham each had two singles and a double for Halifax. Pelham and Tyler Fancy each drove in two runs, and Aaron Ferguson had one RBI.

For Kentville, Curtis Falls singles and doubled and drove in two runs, and John Ansara had a single.

Kentville dropped to 1-8 on the season with the loss, while Halifax improved to 6-4. The Wildcats are scheduled to play three times this week, including June 24 in Truro, June 25 at home against Dartmouth, and June 28 at home, also against Dartmouth.
