Kentville Wildcats are now 1-6 after their June 12 loss to Dartmouth.
Three Dartmouth Moosehead Dry pitchers combined to allow just two hits and strike out 16 Kentville Wildcats batters in a 7-1 Dartmouth win Thursday evening at Beazley Field in Dartmouth.
Matt MacDonald, who improved to 7-0 on the season, allowed one hit and struck out seven over five innings to record the win. Cam Marling struck out the side in the sixth, and Jeff Reeves went the final three innings, allowing one hit and striking out six to earn a save.
Kentville starter David McIntyre was the losing pitcher, with Mike Lockhart and Dylan deGraaf appearing in relief. Darren Doucette had two RBI for Dartmouth, and Dan Comeau, Justin Stephens, Greg West and Matt Harding drove in one run apiece. The Dry finished with 12 hits.
For Kentville, which fell to 1-6 on the season with the loss, Codey Shrider had a double and Curtis Falls singled.
