Austin Sabean, #10, is an outfielder from Falmouth. The 15-year-old is five foot, nine inches and weighs 152 pounds. He bats and throws right.
The Kentville Midget AAA Wildcats took an early lead in their final game at the U18 Midget championships.
The Wildcats are facing off against P.E.I. for ninth place in the standings. Previously, the Wildcats defeated P.E.I. 1-0 in round robin action.
Austin Sabean picked up the first run of the afternoon to put the Wildcats ahead 1-0 in the second inning.
Coach Michael Reid said the team "absolutely" believed they could defeat P.E.I.
P.E.I quickly tied things up in the top of those second and picked up a second run in the third. It was 5-1 at the top of the fifth.

The Wildcats attempted to rally black at the bottom of the fifth as they loaded the bases with Gage Reid, Eric Such and Sabean, but they were unable to bring anyone home.
At the top of the sixth, the Wildcats brought in Liverpool's Wes Harding to take the mound, hoping some fresh arms would make the difference, but P.E.I. managed one more run to make it a 6-1 game, then added two more in the seventh to make it 8-1. That would be all the scoring for the rest of the game to leave the Wildcats in 10th place.
