Luc Boudreau has always saved some of his best performances for national meets, and this week is starting off as no exception.

On Wednesday July 16, Day One of the Canadian summer swim championships being held in Saskatoon, Boudreau, who swims for Acadia and for the Wolfville Tritons, swam a new personal best 2:20.62 in his specialty, the 200-metre breaststroke.

In finishing ninth in the race, and advancing to Wednesday evening's A final, the New Minas resident shattered his previous personal best time of 2:21.69 by 1:07.

Boudreau also swam a new personal best of 26.54 seconds in the 50-metre butterfly event Wednesday, but his time wasn't fast enough to advance to the final.
