The public skate will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. McDonald Chisholm Trask Insurance is co-sponsoring the skate and will be providing hot chocolate. Random draws for TTROW will be made throughout the program.
The second event will be the Winter Walk in Wood’s Harbour, 2 pm. Participants will begin at the Wood’s Harbour Community Centre and walk on the side walk, up the trail and return to the community centre for some hot chocolate. Random draws will be made for TTROW prizes.
The third event will be another free family public skate on Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Barrington Arena. The public skate will be from 2:30 pm to 4:20 pm. Random draws for TTROW will be made throughout the program.
The activity will be held at the Sherose Island Recreation Centre. Snowshoes will be provided. After the activity, the participants will be served hot chocolate. Random draws will be made for TTROW prizes.
To take part in the TTROW Challenge you have to: be physically active for 30 minutes a day (indoor and / or outdoor), for at least four days a week, for four weeks (Feb. 2 to Feb. 8; Feb. 9 to Feb. 15; Feb. 16 to Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 to March 1). People can get a tally sheet from the Recreation Department website, www.barringtonrecreation.ca . People can email (email@example.com) or call (637-2903) your accomplishments and have your name(s) entered for TTROW prizes. Remember, every physical activity counts. Organizers ask that whatever people choose, they should have fun doing it.
