In the first game, the Shelburne Rebel Senior Girls handily defeated Liverpool by a 60-34 score

Shelburne Regional High School was a bevy of basketball action on the weekend as the annual Phil Callan Memorial Classic was held Nov. 28-30, featuring schools from across western Nova Scotia.

West Kings won the round-robin tournament in the girls division while Middleton took the win for the boys.

In the first game, the Shelburne Rebel Senior Girls handily defeated Liverpool by a 60-34 score. The Shelburne boys had a surprising 78-67 loss to the Lockeport Greenwave team in the second game on Thursday night.

The Rebel girls wound up with a 2-1 record (good for second place). The Rebel boys did not fare as well, losing all three games.
