The DRHS junior girls volleyball team took third place at regionals.

Digby’s first game of the tournament in Middleton on Tuesday, Nov. 26 was against Bridgetown.

Digby won two sets to one.

They lost their second game two sets to zero against Middleton.

DRHS won their quarterfinal match against Annapolis two sets to none and then lost in the semis to Clare two to none.

“There was no bronze medal match between Digby and Bridgetown so our ranking was third or fourth,” said Digby coach Sharyn Hiscock. “But since we defeated Bridgetown in the round-robin, the girls like to say third.”

“Coming off a last place finish last year in districts, the improvement speaks for itself,” says Hiscock. “I couldn’t be happier with how well the girls played and how dedicated they are.”

Middleton won the junior girls volleyball regionals and Clare won silver.
