Last year, local wheelchair athlete Ben Brown received assistance from the Berwick Sports Hall of Fame toward the expenses of competing at nationals. Brown dropped by the Hall of Fame committee's Jan. 10 meeting to say thanks and provide an update on his activities at nationals and since that time, and while there posed for a photo with some of the Hall of Fame committee. Currently in its 14th year, the Berwick Sports Hall of Fame holds its annual induction ceremonies in June; this year's event is scheduled for June 15 at the Berwick Lions Hall. Nominations for worthy inductees in the player, team and builder categories are now being accepted, with the deadline for nominations Feb. 28.
