Contestants in the Real Lobstermen of Shelburne County Pageant await the next competition during the new event that was added to the Lobster Festival line-up this year. Held on Friday night at the Barrington arena, the Great Lobstermen Challenge attracted a large audience and offered up plenty of laughs. The contestants, (from left) John Fall, the only ‘nubbin’ in the group, Tim Smith, Corey Townsend, Roger ‘Sourbug’ Atwood, Reg Kendrick and Curtis Halliday banded lobsters, coiled rope and spliced rope in the bid to win the title. The competition came down to a ‘band-off” between Fall and Townsend, with Townsend taking the crown. Kathy Johnson photo
