It was an evening of solemn oath taking and settling in at the Nov. 10 meeting of the Municipality of Barrington council.

The meeting was shy a councillor for District 5. Residents in that district could be heading back to the polls for a by-election because councillor elect Shaun Hatfield may be disqualified. Hatfield is chair of the municipality’s continuing care steering committee and, as such, may be deemed ineligible to run for office. The soonest this matter can be addressed by the court will be on Dec. 4.
