It would be a little easier to swallow the projected tax increase if, as a West Hants taxpayer, one felt they were getting adequate return for their tax dollars.
Iâd like to know where the money for a new fire station was coming from, as there was no mention of a tax increase for it. But, a tax increase is needed to pay for a new interim CAO and education increase.
It seems to be the norm now with the municipality that when roads are torn up to repair water mains, et cetera, holes are filled up initially and then left for weeks or months before being paved over. This wouldn't be bad if your crews stopped driving past them daily, rough as they are, and actually used the gravel and filled them in.
Like I said, the tax raise might go down a little easier.
