Tim Hortons

Springhill Police are investigating a theft from a local business, when a thief decided he’d get his money to go.

Shortly after 12 a.m. Tuesday, while Tim Hortons’ night staff were working in the kitchen area of the building, a male suspect lifted the unattended drive-thru window, opened the cash register and stole a sum of money before fleeing the scene.

After the robbery was discovered Springhill Police were called to the scene. An RCMP forensic unit was brought in to fingerprint a number of articles. No arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing, acting chief of police Dean Ruddick said.
