Police charged a 17-year-old boy from Chester April 9 with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Lunenburg County District RCMP responded to a complaint at Chester Area Middle School  just after noon Wednesday about a male teen on school property in possession of a crowbar who was looking for a student.

Shortly after police responded, two young men were arrested a short distance from school property: the 17-year-old and an 18-year-old man from Hubbards. The 18-year-old was later released.

The Chester boy is scheduled to appear in youth court April 16 in Bridgewater.
