Kings County RCMP stop six impaired drivers over long weekend

According to police files, six suspected impaired drivers were caught behind the wheel over the Labour Day weekend by Kings RCMP.

Aug. 30, a 42-year-old man was arrested for alleged impaired operation in Coldbrook. He was nabbed at 12:57 p.m.

At 8:50 p.m. a 35-year-old male driver was stopped in Newtonville for allegedly driving while impaired.

After a single vehicle collision on Brooklyn Street at 11:27 p.m. a 21-year-old driver was arrested.  He was also impaired, police say.

Early the following mornin,  a 19-year-old male driver was handed a seven-day suspension when stopped at a Greenwich check point.

Shortly afterward, a 24-year-old man was caught driving while allegedly impaired at the same checkpoint.

At 3:32 a.m.  Sept. 1 a 53-year-old man was arrested following a collision at Starr’s Point Road.
