A North Kentville man facing firearm charges has been released on an undertaking.
A North Kentville man facing several firearm-related charges has been released from custody on an undertaking.
Tristan Nicholas Bigelow, 20, appeared in Kentville provincial court on Aug. 26. He’s charged with possessing a weapon, a pellet handgun, for the purpose of committing an offence; pointing a firearm; being an occupant of a vehicle knowing that there was a firearm present at the time and failing to comply with probation.
According to a news release from the Kings District RCMP, police responded to a firearm complaint in North Kentville on Aug. 25 at around 12:15 p.m. A vehicle reportedly drove by a residence on Scott Drive and an occupant of the vehicle reportedly pointed a gun at a resident who was outside on the property.
Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the occupants. An air pellet handgun was seized from the vehicle.
Bigelow was held to appear in court on Aug. 26. The Crown consented to his release on an undertaking. The matters were adjourned to Sept. 22 for election and plea.
