Navigation light finishing touch for the Digby breakwater

A Canadian Coast Guard helicopter delivered materials and tools for the installation of a navigation light on the end of Digby’s new breakwater.

The red and white Bell 206L-1 LongRanger II picked up the material at the Guy Frenchy’s parking lot in Conway and delivered the first load about 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21.

The second load, the metal stand, arrived about 10:45 about the light pole arrived about 11 a.m.

Technicians had the system put together by noon.
