There were 388 reports made to R.C.M.P. in Kings County between July 31 and Aug. 6.

July 31

A couple was causing a disturbance while in a car on Highway 1 in Aylesford.

Four tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in Coldbrook overnight.

A woman got into her vehicle in New Minas and found a used condom.

A window was broken during a break-in at a residence in Brooklyn Corner.

Two reports came in of a male causing a disturbance at a New Minas bus stop.

An intoxicated man was arrested in Kingston at 8:10 p.m. for making threats. He was arrested and held until sober.

A revoked driver was stopped in Coldbrook.

A male who tried marijuana for the first time passed out in Greenwood. Police responded to the medical emergency, along with EHS.

A child playing with a lighter set a mattress on fire in North Kentville at 10:24 p.m.

A loud party was reported at 10:29 p.m. on Fowler Street in Wolfville.

Aug. 1

A man was reported for urinating in a Greenwood parking lot at 12:35 a.m. Police found he was carrying a small amount of cannabis.

A 20-year-old male was arrested outside a Wolfville drinking establishment for causing a disturbance.

An iPhone was stolen from an unlocked car on Fairfield Avenue in Wolfville. Later, two vehicles were reported entered in Avonport.

There was a break-in overnight at a Berwick-area business. A number of tools and a utility trailer were stolen, along with an off-road motorcycle and two computers. At 7:34 a.m., some of the items were recovered at Selfridge Corner.

Police are investigating a fight between two males in Cambridge.

An elderly woman reported an anonymous caller for mischief.

A worker was noted urinating near a worksite in Canning.

A 16-year-old male was arrested for making threats and causing a disturbance in Bishopville.

There was a minor hit and run in Berwick.

A vehicle was reported damaged in Coldbrook.

An inebriated, 48-year-old man in Canning was lodged in a cell until sober.

Police responded to an employer/employee dispute.

At 8:10 p.m., a man was reportedly impaired outside a Berwick business. He had been there for five hours.

Noise complaints were received from East Dalhousie, Greenwich, North Kentville and Kingston – all before 9:35 p.m.

An animal welfare call from the Centreville area turned out to concern an older dog with health issues.

A 24-year-old male was arrested for stealing a cheque in Hants Border and cashing it.

A cell phone was stolen from a public place in New Minas.

An intoxicated man fell down in Kingston while hitchhiking.

A vehicle was reported driving dangerously in Canning at 11 p.m.

A noisy generator was noted in Kingston at 11:55 p.m.

Aug. 2

At 2:36 a.m., a 42-year-old impaired driver was arrested at a checkpoint. He also had illegal drugs and trafficking paraphernalia.

A suspicious vehicle was reported near a cottage in Scott’s Bay.

An 80-year-old female driver was arrested in Hall’s Harbour after a one-vehicle collision. She had been prohibited from driving.

Two landlord/tenant issues arose in Wolfville.

A 48-year-old impaired man was arrested at a New Minas bus shelter at 6:53 p.m. for causing a disturbance.

A noisy party was reported on Fowler Street in Wolfville just before 10 p.m.

Someone was banging on apartment walls in Kingston at 10:45 p.m.

Aug. 3

At 3:10 a.m., there was a report of loud music in Canning.

Two reports of assaults at a party on the North Mountain came in overnight.

Two break-ins were reported from Grandview Avenue in Wolfville. Change and a computer were taken.

Trespassing was reported on a woodlot in Burlington.

There was a complaint about two dirt bikes in New Minas.

Police are investigating an assault reported from New Minas.

Someone in North Alton was fraudulently ordering pizza and taxi rides.

Dangerous driving aboard an off-road motorcycle was reported in Kingston at 2:18 p.m.

There was a gas and go at Casey’s Corner.

Some damage was reported overnight to a vehicle in a Cambridge parking lot.

At 4:22 p.m., a female driver hit another vehicle and failed to stop on the Lakewood Road.

Three or four youth were playing baseball while waiting for a ride in a parking lot in New Minas. They were reported at 8 p.m. for causing a disturbance.

A capsized boat was reported off Baxter’s Harbour.

Noise complaints came in from New Minas and Greenwich.

Aug. 4

Some cash was stolen during a break-in in North Kentville and jewelry was taken during another incident in Berwick.

A seven-year-old child was reported trespassing in a neighbour’s pool.

A loud music complaint came in from North Kentville at 5:22 p.m.

A 27-year-old male driver was stopped for speeding on Highway 101 near Aylesford. He will be in court Oct. 6 as well for impairment, dangerous driving and stunting.

An unwanted person was reported at a home on Maple Avenue in Wolfville.

Someone threw eggs at a house in Auburn and broke a window.

A well-being check was requested at 5:26 p.m. for some youth on the side of highway 101 near Wolfville.

A screen was reported damaged on a house in Kingston, but no entry was gained.

A 60-year-old man was arrested after a neighbourhood dispute in Avonport.

Aug. 5

Another noisy party was reported at 12:53 a.m. from Fowler Street in Wolfville.

A break-in occurred at a residence in Meadowvale near Greenwood.

Gas was taken during a break-in to an unlocked garage in Harmony.

Gift cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Greenwood.

A mirror on a vehicle was broken overnight in Wolfville.

A possible explosive device was reported in Kingston.

A lawn tractor and stereo were stolen in Canning. The tractor was later recovered.

A suspicious woman was noted in woods in Atlanta at 8:42 p.m.

A neighbourhood dispute took place over a brush fire in Greenwich.

A driver on Highway 358 was handed a seven-day suspension for impairment.

Some youth were reported loitering near West Kings High School. They were skateboarding.

A cow was noted on the road at Brooklyn Corner at 10 p.m.

Two youth were reported around car on a North Kentville street. They were located and spoken to.

Aug. 6

A neighbour reported a possibly insecure building in Coldbrook.

Three picnic tables were taken from a Greenwood business overnight.

A vehicle was stolen in New Minas and later recovered in Kingston.

An elderly woman was reported for stealing groceries in New Minas. She has dementia.

An elderly driver was reported for failing to obey a construction worker in Kingston.

Some illegal drugs were found in a residence in East Tremont.

An unwanted male was reported at a business in Greenwood.

An attempted break-in was noted in North Kentville.

There was a workplace accident on a farm in the Berwick area at 6:14 p.m.

A break-in was reported in New Minas.

Two child welfare issues took place and six family relations calls came in. Ten mental health concerns and 10 domestic cases were reported. Among them was one individual who smashed a TV against a car.

There were two reports of shoplifting in Kingston and one in New Minas.

Dogs were reported left in vehicles in New Minas, Coldbrook, Wolfville and twice in Greenwood.

Five Facebook complaints were received and one call about harassing phone calls. Four complaints about breach of conditions came in.

There were 17 driving complaints. Checkpoints were set up in Cambridge, Sheffield Mills and two in Wolfville. Collisions occurred in Harmony, Tremont, Cambridge, Highway 101 near Coldbrook, Highway 12, Melanson and New Minas.

Hit and run incidents occurred in parking lots in North Alton, North Kentville, New Minas, Greenwich and Wolfville.

Licence plates were stolen in North Kentville and Coldbrook. Three youth group home incidents were reported and two cases of threats.

There were four false alarms and 10 false 911 calls.
