The Kings Transit authority will receive $15,000 in government funds for a new transit strategy study.
The funding, which comes through the Nova Scotia Transit Research Incentive Program, supports initiatives that will generate new or improved public transit services in rural and underserviced urban areas of the province.
The Trans County Transportation Society in Annapolis County is another organization that will receive funds through this program. They’ll receive $2,625 to revise policy and procedures manuals and develop orientation brochure and employees handbook.
In total, $167,625 is being invested under the program this year.
