Police, fire and EHS busy with motor vehicle accidents

Another busy week for Annapolis RCMP

The Annapolis RCMP received 113 calls from July 14 through July 21. Among these were: four false alarms, 10 false 911s, 28 traffic matters and nine domestic disputes. Following are a few of these calls:

--July 14 at 11:33 a.m. Port Royal. A break and enter at a residence is reported.

--July 14 at 5:51 p.m. Upper Granville. Police execute a search warrant and seize 16 marihuana plants and other items. One man is facing charges and was released pending a court appearance.

--July 14 at 6:17 p.m. West Paradise. ATV’s are reported on the highway, a patrol was made but the vehicles had already left the area.

--July 14 at 7:53 a.m. West Paradise. Police are called to assist EHS with a medical emergency

--July 15 at 9:02 p.m.  Middleton. A woman is reported seen around vehicles parked in yards, she was seen wearing a hoodie, skinny about 5 ft tall.

--July 15 at 11:59 a.m.  Clementsport. Youth are seen throwing debris from the highway overpass, a patrol was made, but the individuals had already left.

--July 15 at 10:49 a.m.  Upper Clements. A business sign is reported stolen over night

--July 15 at 4:56 p.m. Carleton Corner. Police receive a report of harassment via telemarketers

--July 15 at 10:18 p.m. Meadowvale. Police receive a report of skate boarders on road causing disturbance. A patrol was made and the problem was resolved.

--July 15 at 10:38 p.m.  South Farmington. A suspicious person is reported, a patrol was made and assistance was provided to the person, who was lost.

--July 16 at 9:55 a.m. Upper Clements. Police are called to a two-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles had to be towed

--July 16 at 544 p.m. Lawrencetown. Dirt bike drivers are reported to be riding erratically in the area, a patrol was made but didn’t locate the vehicles.

--July 16 at 6:47p.m. Round Hill. A break and enter is reported at a residence, items were stolen.

--July 17 at 6:44 a.m. A single vehicle collision is reported, the driver lost control on a wet road and went into ditch, the driver was shaken and the investigation continues.

--July 17 at 8:02 a.m. Wilmot. A resident reports that a vehicle was searched over night

--July 17 at 8:31 a.m. Brooklyn. Police receive a report of a cow on the road, the owner was found and the matter resolved

--July 17 at 11:19 a.m. New Albany. Police, EHS, and Nictaux Fire Department are called to a single vehicle collision, the driver lost control and went into the ditch. The driver was momentarily trapped and sustained very minor injuries. The vehicle was towed.

--July 17 at 2:31 p.m. Bear River. A compliant of property damage is reported involving a business sign.

--July 18 at 7:49 a.m. Middleton. A patrol is made in response to a report of a disturbance. The situation was resolved and individuals departed

--July 18 at 8:54 a.m. Bridgetown. A complaint of property damage is reported at a local park.

--July 18 at 10:05 a.m. Meadowvale. A complaint of property damage is reported, after a vehicle’s gas tank was tampered with.

--July 18 at 5:26 p.m. Clementsport. ATV’s are reported on the road, a patrol was made and the matter was resolved.

--July 18 at 5:39 p.m. New Albany. Police are called to a single vehicle collision, the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled in the ditch. EHS and Nictaux Fire Department assisted, the driver checked by EHS and found to be ok, vehicle towed

--July 18 at 8:04 p.m. Lequille. A resident reports a vehicle had been searched over night.

--July 18 at 10:29 p.m.  Port Royal. Police, EHS and Annapolis Royal Fire are called to a single vehicle collision. The driver lost control, going off road and striking a power pole. NS Power also responded due to the live wires, the driver escaped injuries

--July 19 at 12:06 a.m.  Middleton. Suspicious people are reported, a patrol was made and the individuals had already left.

--July 19 at 12:40 a.m. Middleton. A police traffic stop results in the arrest of an impaired driver, the driver failed a breath test and was later released pending a court appearance.

--July 19 at 1:58 a.m. Upper Granville. An erratic driver is reported, a patrol was made and the vehicle was located. A top-heavy camper type vehicle was being bumped around due to the condition of the highways.

--July 19 at 4 p.m. Middleton. A citizen reports that a vehicle was entered and a MP3 player was stolen.

--July 19 at 5:41p.m. Albany Cross. Police, EHS and Nictaux Fire are called to a single vehicle collision, the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over in ditch. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital and the vehicle towed.
