Updated: Man arrested after weapons incident in Windemere

Kings District RCMP arrested a man July 16 after report of shots fired on Cleveland Road in Windemere.

Spokesman Const. Blair MacMurtery said RCMP attended the scene and contained the area around the residence for a short period of time.

Police vehicles and EHS paramedics were staged at the Avery's in South Berwick, including officers from Windsor to Annapolis. 

A 41-year-old man surrendered without incident and was taken into custody. Police say they seized multiple firearms from the residence.

The man was transported to the Valley Regional Hospital for assessment. MacMurtery said charges are pending.

    You have the date wrong, should be July 16th. I saw all the police cruisers with sirens and lights on HWY 101 on my way to the city.
