It was a bad Monday for the postman.

A Canada Post carrier was delivering mail on Kentville’s Canaan Avenue July 14 when police say he was bitten by a dog.

Insp. Ken Reade said the mail carrier was treated for minor injuries at Valley Regional Hospital and then released.

The dog is still with the owner, Reade confirmed.

The Kentville Police investigation is continuing and police say charges are likely.

Important to know that homelessness is not simply houselessness. It has to do with mental illness and substance abuse.

Excuse me, how is this homelessness, houselessness or mental illness or substance abuse, you may have the wrong article in your mind. On another note, I know the owner of this dog, she is a good lady, her dogs have never caused any issue in the public. she is normally responsible, anytime i go by her home they are always tied out. it saddens me that they are attempting to take both of her dogs. she herself understands that mistakes and accidents happen and is preparing to mourn the loss of a pet she has had since it was eight weeks old. and preparing for the fact that her senior dog may possibly be killed because of this also, the poor girl hasnt slept since monday, missed some work, sits in her home crying every day
