Town of Kentville seal

Kentville is looking for a compelling brand.

The town has been working on the initiative for a year and is now seeking input from the public.

“We’re educating the public about what branding is, what sort of process we’re going to go through to get there and why,” community development co-ordinator Lindsay Young said in an interview.

“We want to make sure we give everything an option for participating that feels comfortable for them.”

A new brand for Kentville won’t be decided at town hall, she said.

“While it is a town-led initiative, it is not going to be a town project,” Young said. The brand development committee involves businesspeople, citizens, staff and a brand coach and input is wanted from everyone, including those from outside town.

“We want to know what (visitors’) experiences are,” Young said.

Public engagement sessions are set for June 24 and 25, from 7 to 8 and 8 to 9 p.m. Members of the public can attend any or all of the four sessions.

new brand??? hmmm.. How about getting rid of Phillips and Corkum. They are single handily making this town a ghost town. Businesses are leaving... walk the streets and count the empty buildings. Crime is steadily going up and rumour has it the mayor has axed two more members of KPD. Apparently one of the positions was paid for in full by the province and didn't cost us the taxpayers anything!!! Corkum you have some questions that need to be answered!!!
