On May 29, a Port Williams mother reported her three-year-old son was missing at 7:15 p.m. She had been cutting the grass when he disappeared.

Police determined the boy had gone into the family home and when the door locked, he couldn’t return outdoors.

The next morning, police received a 911 call from Prospect Road in New Minas, where another boy was found on the sidewalk in his PJs.

Police spoke with neighbours and located the four-year-old’s mother. She said he had crawled out a window while she was sleeping.
