Wolfville man fined on Direct Sellers Regulation Act charges

Thomas Peter Fennessey, 35, of Wolfville, has been fined for four counts of carrying on the business of direct selling a medical alarm system and monitoring services without being the holder of a subsisting permit under the Direct Sellers Regulation Act.

Fennessey pleaded guilty to the charges on Jan. 23. He was fined $500 each on three of the charges and a total of $687.41 on the remaining charge.

Fennessey committed the offences in Kentville on April 12 and in New Minas between April 17 and 18, 2012, in Hants Border on July 11 and in Bishopville on July 22, 2013.
