Premier makes rounds of home riding levees

If anyone was wondering where Premier Stephen McNeil was on New Year's Day, they could have found him in Middleton, Bridgetown, and Annapolis Royal at Legion levees where he mingled with lots of old friends.

And Annapolis County residents ushered in the new year with their MLA. Chowder and chili were welcome in Bridgetown as outside temperatures were well below 0C. Dozens braved that cold for the annual New Year's celebration at the Bridgetown Legion.

It was the same in Annapolis Royal where big crowds turned out to usher in 2014 with lots of food -- including fish chowder. Bill MacDonald provided music while local residents socialized and reflected on the year past and what 2014 might bring. The kitchen staff packed the Premier a lunch for later on when he finally got back home.

The Legion in Middleton also hosted a levee with food and drink. Premier McNeil also dropped by there where he socialized with those attending.
