The Annapolis Valley Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club say trails in Kings County are covered with downed trees following a recent ice storm.

Plans are being made to clear the trails, says Andrew Johnson, club president.

"Snowmobilers, we need to unite and help clear all trails," he said in an email to the AVRR. "Everyone grab an ax or a saw and do your part to clear a section of trail as soon as possible. The groomers can't do their job until the trees and limbs are cleared out of the way. We can't expect the volunteer groomer drivers to take on this task."

Snowmobilers are being asked to concentrate on clearing the rail bed, and on the weekend, the focus will shift to the north and south mountains.
