Extra tables had to be set up Dec. 25 for late arrivals at the Wolfville community Christmas dinner.

Organizers had set up for 138, but more than 150 were on hand for the meal prepared by local chef Dave Smart, which was served up by volunteers.

Among them were sisters Nickle and Adrian, who participated for the third year, along with their mother Alex.

Two tables of Acadia University international students took part in the meal. They were from Bahamas, Barbados, Taiwan and mainland China.

Musicians Donna Rhodenizer and Andy Duinker entertained those who gathered at the Wolfville Lions Hall.

A benefit concert, held Dec. 20 at Acadia's Manning Memorial Chapel, raised $300 toward the annual dinner.
