Close to 100 participants took part last year in the Resolution Run, and this year, even more are expected on Dec. 31.
The run benefits the Wolfville Area Inter Church Council Food Bank. Over in past six years, says co-organizer Susan Markham-Starr, the run has had about 530 participants and raised $1,955, along with 1,055 pounds of food for the food bank.
Runners should meet at the Wolfville Farmers' Market at 1:30 p.m. to register and then set out at 2 p.m. for a 3.5-kilometre or a five-kilometre run, roll or walk along the sidewalks of downtown Wolfville.
Afterwards, participants return to the market for hot cider provided by Stirling’s Farm Market and door prizes.
“This is a family-friendly event, so bring along friends and family,” she said.

The entry fee is a cash or non-perishable food donation to the WAICC Food Bank.
