Dec. 8

Two brothers were caused a disturbance at a New Minas drinking establishment

at 12:47 a.m. Later, two men were fighting at a Greenwood drinking establishment.

At 2:22 a.m., there was a disturbance on Commercial Street in New Minas.

A 31-year-old male driver received a seven-day suspension for drinking and

driving in New Minas.

Two unwanted males were reported in Greenwood at 2:56 a.m.

Someone broke the window of a door and tried to start a fire at a Scott’s Bay

home. The arson attempt was reported at 3:09 a.m.

Three people were arrested at 7:43 a.m. in North Kentville because of the smell of

illegal drug use in a vehicle.

A child in the vehicle was taken into care temporarily; family and children’s

services were notified.

A New Minas resident reported someone had smeared a cake and icing on a

vehicle overnight.

A 14-year-old male youth was arrested at the scene of some arson at a

Kingston business. He was released to his parents.

A mini bike was stolen out of a shed in North Alton.

A man in Greenwood alleged three unknown males mugged him, stealing

his wallet, between midnight and 1 a.m.

After a vehicle crashed in Centreville, a 57-year-old male driver was found

impaired.

There was a disturbance at a New Minas business.

Dec. 9

A 27-year-old male driver was stopped in Woodville at 5:48 a.m. He was unlicensed and his vehicle was towed.

Four men were reported fighting on an Aylesford lawn at 7:13 a.m.

There were six domestic complaints. Two assaults took place. A 31-year-old male and a 19-year-old man were arrested. In the latter incident, the female victim was assaulted with a laundry hamper.

Someone threw a piece of wood, breaking a window and setting off an alarm at a business in Greenwood. Later, graffiti was reported on a building in the same village.

At 12:32 p.m., an ATV complaint was filed in Greenwood.

An unknown male was reported for possibly using illegal drugs at a business

in New Minas.

An abandoned vehicle was noted in North Kentville.

A 30-year-old man was caught shoplifting groceries in New Minas.

A bike and a duffel bag were found in Wolfville.

When a vehicle was checked in Lakeville, two teens were found smoking cannabis. They were arrested.

A shoplifter was stopped in Kingston.

Two male teens were charged with assaulting security staff after a shoplifting incident went awry in Greenwood.

There was a landlord/tenant dispute in North Kentville.

Dec. 10

A Grafton resident was billed for a fraudulent ambulance ride in Colchester County.

A driver in Greenwich was caught texting.

A shoplifting in Kingston is being investigated.

A vehicle was abandoned in Greenwood.

Eight mental health calls came in and four family relations concerns. Two were out of control 10- and 15-year-olds. Two teenaged sisters were reported squabbling like cats and dogs.

There were four youth group home incidents.

Two small amounts of illegal drugs were found at Acadia University and turned over to police.

Ten driving complaints were received and four warnings were issued. Police spoke to a young woman who is living in her car.

Check stops were set up in Welsford, Port Williams, Kingston. Over 550 vehicles were checked in two Wolfville checkpoints. There were collisions in Greenwood and Canning. Parking lot crashes took place three times in New Minas.

There were two false alarms and 11 false 911 calls.
