Cancellations in Kings County due to Sunday storm

• With the weather deteriorating, in particluar the wind increasing and the chance of freezing rain later in the day, the AMHA is continuing to put safety first. After discussions with the RCMP, checking the weather and road conditions, ALL Acadia Minor Hockey activities in the three arenas (Kentville, Canning and Acadia) will be closed/cancelled for the whole day - Sunday, Dec 15th. All of the games will be made up in the future.

• Due to the impending major weather event on Sunday, the 14 Wing Christmas Concert scheduled for Dec. 15 has been cancelled.

• Mass at St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Berwick is cancelled for Sunday December 15

• Church services at All Saint's Anglican Church, Kingston and Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Middleton, have been cancelled for 15 December 2013 due to the weather forecast.

• The Port Williams United Baptist Church presentation of  The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is postponed because of the storm. Instead, it will be held Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.

Greenwood Mall will not be opening today due to the storm. Greco and Subway will remain open. 

• No church today at the Forest Hill Baptist Church on Gaspereau Mountain. 

• Girl Power and Teen Council carolling at the Kentville Library has been postponed until Dec 22.

• The Dec. 15  Musical Gift concert for the Upper Room Foodbank Christmas in Kingston, featuring Chris Palmer and Friends,  is cancelled. It has been rescheduled to Dec.  22 at 2 p.m. at the Kingston Lions hall.
