Experience the magic of a traditional Christmas on Dec. 6 from 4:30-9 p.m. as Central Avenue is transformed into Wolfville’s Christmas Market.

Visitors will enjoy a wide selection of unique and local handmade products and indulge in a variety of holiday treats like warm cider and mulled wine.

“It will be an experience for all senses with glittering lights, holiday scents and festive music,” said Meagan Griffin, manager of tourism and events for Wolfville. “An event for the entire family, children will also enjoy meeting Santa Claus, decorating Christmas cookies and getting into the holiday spirit.”

On Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Wolfville Farmers’ Market will get into the holiday spirit with great locally handmade gifts and the annual Get Un-Scrooged event.  With a $5 donation to the Wolfville Food Bank, visitors receive a ballot for a chance to win up to $400 of items of their choice from up to 15 vendors.

Wolfville is a performance destination this weekend as well, with Cadance Academy’s staging of The Nutcracker Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. from the Acadia Festival Theatre, while Christmas with Friends, hosted by vocalist Rachel MacLean and guests Kim Stockwood and Dave Gunning, will be held Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in Acadia’s University Hall.
