The Canadian Red Cross in Kentville is celebrating a 10-year partnership between Noggins Farm in Greenwich and the organization.
Supervisor Laura McNamara says Noggins has supported the Red Cross annual Haunted House each year for the past decade, “by making a donation to our organization for the work we do, providing us with a facility on their property and maintaining it as well as promoting the event which runs every weekend in October.”
Red Cross volunteers donate hundreds of hours each year to this event, McNamara said, along with students from Horton, Northeast Kings and Central Kings High Schools.
“It has become a great success over the years. We finish each season off with a haunted weekend, which consists of the haunted house, haunted corn maze, camp fires and plenty of food.”
Phantom F/X, a local theatrical makeup company, have donated their time and talents to design the house over the past two years. McNamara says the house has become bigger and better each year.
“We have some fantastic partnerships here in our community that I would like to share with our community members.”
The haunted weekend will be held this weekend.
