Date set for judicial recount
Elections Nova Scotia is looking into allegations of improper scrutineering at one poll in Kings North.
Dana Phillip Doiron, director of communications, confirmed today that the agency is investigating a contention that one party scrutineer rushed the ballot counting at the poll in Hall's Harbour.
Former Kings North MLA Jim Morton has indicated that the recount the NDP Party requested will take place on Oct. 21.
Elections Nova Scotia staff will make the recount in Kentville, according to returning officer Al Kingsbury.
Morton was defeated by Progressive Conservative John Lohr by 32 votes.
