The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched three homes over the weekend, resulting in the arrests of six people on a variety of drug charges.
Two people were arrested in Wolfville after a search of a residence on Blue Heron Court Sept. 27. Cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized from the residence.
Courtney Allison Muriel McLean, 23, was arrested and held in custody to appear in Kentville court today. A second resident of the property, 23-year-old Damon Kyle Turner, was arrested today at the Kentville courthouse and will be brought before a judge later today. Both are facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana.
The following day, a home on Deep Hollow Road in White Rock was searched. Dilaudid, methadone, cannabis marijuana, marijuana plants, magic mushrooms, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon – mace – were seized.
Jeremy Mark Rector, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis marijuana, production of marijuana, production and possession of magic mushrooms for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to obey a condition of an undertaking. He appeared in court today.
A 32-year-old woman was also arrested during the White Rock search and faces the same drug trafficking, possession and production charges as Rector. However, she was released and will appear in court on Dec. 23.
A third residence was searched in Nictaux, Annapolis County, on Sept. 27. Police seized crack cocaine, marijuana, drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.
Shaun Christopher Smith, 34, and Tina Lee Smith, 41, of that address, were arrested at the scene. Both were charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a fake motor vehicle inspection sticker. Shaun Smith faces an additional charge of failing to comply with a condition on an undertaking. They have been held in custody and are expected to appear in Digby court today.
