VON Annapolis Valley will be hosting a Wolfville Walking Dinner on Sept. 22. The event will raise money for VON Annapolis Valley’s Community Supports Services.
This unique dinner will be hosted by the VON’s community board, said Debbie Rosa-Mercier, and will offer a selection of courses by seven eateries at six locations in Wolfville.
The meal will start at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market with Luckett Vineyards in charge. Groups of 10 will then disperse to one of five participating restaurants, including Troy, Ivy Deck Bistro, Paddy’s Brewpub, The Privet House and Front and Central.
Once the groups have rotated around all five restaurants, they will return to the farmers’ market for dessert from Wolfville’s newest bakery, Slow Dough, and coffee or tea from Just Us! Coffee. A live auction will follow.
The event will start at 4 p.m. with registration and the first course at Wolfville Farmers’ Market. Tickets are priced $100 each or $700 for a table of eight, including a partial charitable tax receipt.
The VON’s charitable programs include Meals on Wheels, Frozen Favourites, Lunch Bunch and Berwick Adult Day. Other programs the VON offers, which are supported by volunteers, are Safety Check-in, Volunteer Visiting and Foot Clinics.
