Between July 16 and Aug. 15, Kings County RCMP responded to a total of 54 calls for service in the Berwick area.
In his monthly report to Berwick town council Aug. 27, Sgt. Jamie Greene, commander at the Kingston RCMP detachment, explained the 19 criminal codes calls included three that were theft-related; five mischief complaints, six traffic-related calls, two break and enters and three assaults.
During the monthly reporting period, police also responded to five calls under the Mental Health Act and an additional 35 non-criminal calls for service.
Greene said overall, there have been no changes in the community in criminal activity and added that the RCMP continues to actively investigate drug offenders in the town.
