The Digby Christmas tree is ready to be decorated and lit.

Digby public works set up the Christmas tree Monday morning, Nov. 26 at the look off behind the cenotaph.

Fundy Chorale will kick off the event at 5:30 p.m., Mayor Ben Cleveland will welcome everyone and special guests Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will light the tree for all to see around 6 p.m.

Fireworks are planned to end the show.

Hot chocolate and cookies with Santa will follow the tree lighting at the Heritage Centre (Digby Farmers Market) 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Additionally, there will be an LED Holiday Light Exchange Program sponsored by Efficiency NS Corporation at the Heritage Centre on Friday. Nov. 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A trade of two old sets of lights will get you one new LED set.
