Defrauded New Boundaries Society
The court has handed Tiana Hall, 41, Lockhartville, a suspended sentence with probation and ordered her to pay restitution for, by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means, defrauding the New Boundaries Society of a sum of money, $2,655.23.
Hall entered a guilty plea to the charge May 26, 2009. The matter was adjourned to June 30, 2009 for sentencing. Judge Claudine MacDonald handed Hall a suspended sentence with one year of reporting probation June 30, 2009. Hall has been ordered to pay restitution through the court to the New Boundaries Society in the amount of $2,170.64, to be paid in full by June 30, 2010.
Hall committed the offence in Windsor between July 1 and Aug. 31, 2008.
Obstructed peace officers, motor vehicle offence
The court has fined Matthew Douglas Lake, 23, Wentworth Road, Windsor, for crossing a highway without a valid driver’s license and for willfully obstructing two peace officers, RCMP constables stationed in Windsor, engaged in the execution of their duty, by fleeing from police.
Lake entered guilty pleas to the charges June 30, 2009. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined Lake $135.75, with no default, for crossing a highway without a license and fined him $115, or one day in custody on willful default, for willfully obstructing two peace officers engaged in the execution of their duty. Lake has been given until Dec. 22, 2009 to pay the fines.
Lake committed the offences on Highway 1 in Hants County and in Three Mile Plains May 25, 2009.
Operated motor vehicle while impaired
The court has fined Charles McPhee, 46, Mount Uniacke, for operating a motor vehicle while his ability to operate it was impaired by alcohol.
McPhee entered a not guilty plea to the charge July 29, 2008. The matter was adjourned to Jan. 6, 2009 for trial.
McPhee changed his plea to guilty prior to the scheduled trial Jan. 6, but the court did not accept the plea. A not guilty plea was entered to the charge and the matter adjourned to June 30, 2009 for trial.
McPhee changed his plea again to guilty June 30. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined McPhee $1,035 and has given him until June 29, 2010 to pay or spend 15 days in custody on willful default. The court imposed a one-year driving prohibition order against McPhee.
He committed the offence on the South Rawdon Road May 3, 2008.
Breathalyzer offenses
The court has fined Terrance Ray Singer, 61, Kennetcook, for operating a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded the legal limit.
Singer entered a guilty plea to the charge June 30, 2009. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined Singer $1,610 and has given him until Dec. 21, 2010 to pay or spend 23 days in custody on willful default. The court imposed a one-year, Canada-wide driving prohibition against Singer.
He committed the offence in Windsor May 22, 2009 when he operated a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, the legal limit. Singer gave breathalyzer readings of 170 and 170.

The court has fined Gregory Ernest McCarthy, 38, Three Mile Plains, for operating a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded the legal limit.
McCarthy entered a guilty plea to the charge June 30, 2009. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined McCarthy $1,265 and has given him until June 29, 2010 to pay or spend 18 days in custody on willful default. The court imposed a one-year driving prohibition order against him.
McCarthy committed the offence in Cheverie May 30, 2009 when he operated a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, the legal limit. McCarthy gave breathalyzer readings of 120 and 120.

The court has fined Sherman Hazel White, 44, Kennetcook, for operating a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded the legal limit.
White entered a guilty plea to the charge June 30, 2009. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined White $1,265 and has given him until June 29, 2010 to pay or spend 18 days in custody on willful default. The court imposed a one-year, Canada-wide driving prohibition order against him.
White committed the offence in Kennetcook May 8, 2009 when he operated a motor vehicle having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration in his blood exceeded 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, the legal limit. White gave breathalyzer readings of 140 and 130.
