RCMP in Kings County are requesting public assistance to help solve a case of break, entry and theft that occurred at an Avonport residence during the morning of Dec. 2.

Attempts were made to remove a safe from the house in question and considerable damage was caused while attempting to do so, Kings RCMP spokesman Cst. Les Kakonyi said. “The suspect was unsuccessful in removing the safe, but some other items were stolen from the residence.”

RCMP are asking anyone with information on this crime to either contact them at New Minas RCMP office 679-5555 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
