During the week of September 22 to 29, Annapolis RCMP handled 102 calls for service, including five traffic calls, three domestic-related calls, three false 911 calls, and one false alarm.

Note: Due to the sensitive nature of complaints involving sexual assault, domestic violence, children’s welfare, and mental health, not all calls are considered appropriate for publication.

Following are highlights of the week: - Sept. 22 at 10:12 a.m. Deep Brook. Police received a complaint of assault with a weapon. Parties known to each other. Police are investigating. - Sept. 22 at 2:51 p.m. Bridgetown. Police received a complaint of dangerous operation of a water vessel, when a number of jet ski operators interrupted Saturday’s Cardboard Boat Regata as part of Ciderfest at Jubilee Park. - Sept 22 at 3:18 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police received a complaint of theft of medication from a residence. - Sept. 22 at 3:43 p.m. Meadowvale. Police received a complaint of theft of cash and medication from a residence. - Sept. 23 at 9:52 a.m. Carleton Corner. Police received a complaint of mischief, damage to property, and theft of a sign at a business. - Sept. 23 at 11:43 a.m. Bridgetown. Police received a report of found property: an iron post was found on private property. - Sept. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Bridgetown. Police received a complaint of damage to a business. A single member of a group of youths was witnessed throwing a rock causing damage to a window. - Sept. 23 at 5:47 p.m. Granville Ferry. Police received a report of a suspected impaired driver. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and rule out impairment. - Sept. 23 at 8:29 p.m. South Farmington. Police received a report of a possible roadside collision: a vehicle was witnessed hitting roadside-collection garbage. The vehicle had left the scene. - Sept. 23 at 8:48 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police received an ongoing complaint of a disturbance related to a large group of youths congregating at a bus stop. - Sept 24 at 12:08 a.m. Middleton. Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male displaying erratic behaviour. Officers attended the scene, and the subject was able to regain composure. - Sept. 24 at 12:10 a.m. Middleton. Police received a complaint of “theft under $5000,” personal papers were stolen. - Sept. 24 at 6:17 a.m. Deep Brook. Police received a complaint of harassing phone calls. The parties known to each other. - Sept. 24 at 1:19 p.m. Springfield. Police received a complaint of damage to the ball field. The canteen was vandalized. Garbage cans had been tipped, and tables were strewn about, with one thrown on top of a roof. - Sept. 24 at 2:10 p.m. Springfield. Police received a complaint of mischief resulting in damage to the window of a residence. - Sept. 24 at 2:18 p.m. Bridgetown. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. A number of patrol cars were dispatched, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle. - Sept. 24 at 5:24 p.m. Middleton. A business called to report a male causing a disturbance. The individual had left the premises, but officers were able to locate his vehicle. As a result, the individual has been barred from entering similar establishments for one year. - Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. Milford. Police received a complaint of a vehicle passing a school bus while the bus’s stoplights were activated. The plate number was used to locate the vehicle in question. - Sept. 25 at 12:41 a.m. Centrelea. Police received a complaint of occupants of a vehicle destroying mailboxes with a baseball bat. The matter remains under investigation. - Sept 25 at 8:30 a.m. Round Hill. Police received a complaint of an elderly female passing a school bus while the bus’s stoplights were activated. The matter remains under investigation. - Sept. 25 at 5:32 p.m. Middleton. A business called to report receiving a counterfeit $5 bill. - Sept. 25 at 6:33 p.m. Springfield. Police received a complaint of criminal harassment. The parties are known to each other. - Sept. 25 at 8:00 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident: an impaired female driver swerved to avoid rear-ending a tractor. The suspect left the scene. The matter remains under investigation. - Sept. 25 at 9:01 p.m. Bridgetown. Police received a complaint of two vehicles racing each other through town. - Sept. 25 at 9:04 p.m. Torbrook. Police received a complaint of an assault causing damage to a vehicle. The parties are unknown to each other. Officers contacted both individuals, and the matter remains under investigation. - Sept. 25 at 9:40 p.m. Bridgetown. Police received a report of theft of a bicycle. - Sept. 25 at 11:00 a.m. Bridgetown. Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident. Two vehicles were involved. One vehicle rear-ended the other at a business. - Sept. 26 at 9:35 a.m. West Dalhousie. Police received a complaint of threats. Parties were known to each other. One individual was arrested and released, with no charges laid. - Sept. 26 at 1:10 p.m. Lawrencetown area. Police received a complaint of a theft. Six solar-powered garden lights had been stolen from a private residence. - Sept. 27 at 3:59 a.m. South Farmington. Police received a complaint of an assault. The parties were known to each other. No charges were laid. - Sept. 27 at 11:27 a.m. Bridgetown area. Police received a report of dangerous driving. Officers on patrol intercepted the vehicle. - Sept. 27 at 1:07 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police received a report of theft under $5000: A black metal star was removed from private property. - Sept. 27 at 7:14 p.m. Middleton. Police received a report of a traffic hazard: The remains of a deer on the 101 and a van stopped nearby. Officers attended and removed the carcass from the highway, but the vehicle had left the scene. Department of Natural Resources were to pick up the remains the following morning. - Sept. 28 at 12:24 a.m. Nictaux. An intoxicated male called 911 from a pay phone. Officers were unable to locate the individual, but he called 911 again at 12:44 a.m. from a private residence, and was arrested for breach of peace related to an incident earlier in the evening. - Sept. 28 at 1:15 a.m. Torbrook. Police received a complaint of threats and assault at a party. RCMP members attended the scene, and the matter remains under investigation. - Sept. 28 at 1:28 a.m. Granville Ferry. Police received a report of dangerous driving: a driver pulling wheelies on the causeway. - Sept. 28 at 1:36 a.m. Lawrencetown. Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident: A single vehicle smashed into the sidewalk. - Sept. 28 at 4:25 a.m. Middleton. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. - Sept. 28 at 9:06 a.m. South Farmington. Police received a complaint of mailboxes damaged overnight. - Sept. 28 at 3:10 p.m. Meadowvale. Police received complaints about ongoing noise due to ATV use on nearby trails. - Sept. 28 at 4:06 p.m. Torbook. Police received a complaint of damage to property at a church. - Sept. 29 at 9:48 a.m. West Dalhousie. Police received a report of theft of a generator.
